THE CAT SPECS

Through the cat's eyes...

"Sleep is a destination to peace,
To end the day in your dynamic niche.
Resolved are your powers in the night's charm,
All you can do is succumb to the forces and smarm
Why is it so trivial to imply to nature?
It's just a favour which we're returning as a creature.
For if we disagreed with her,
All of us will just be the humans we are and be prone to err."

So "The Cat Specs" being my very first blog makes me conscious of my writing.I've always tried to make studying a much more interesting aspect for myself. As a natural human tendency, we don't like to sit down on our "study table" to do what's meant to be done there, we rather alternate it with watching Youtube's most viewed videos. As per me, that's what I do for the most part of my life, and sometimes, if time prevails, I do the studying part. I yet wonder sometimes, how did I even make it 'to' an engineering college?
However, making it 'through' engineering is my current goal.

How to improve your study environment?

To begin with, studies need to be coupled with a lot many things apart from just the study material. To feel the zest to study, you need the will to do it, that comes from various things which can make your journey to success, enthralling.

  1. Munchies: We all love food. It's a life necessity, it makes most people happy at bad times(that does include studying); Having a bowl of cornflakes or Chocos ain't doing anybody harm. This way the nutritional needs are also accomplished and the best way to stay up rather than gulping down Expresso shots which do cause a lot of harm to your body. Even having a bowl of fruits by your side while you're studying can help a lot.
  2. Coffee & other healthy alternatives: Most of us feel that coffee is the answer to everything! Well, it certainly is, but it's not healthy when you have it in large amounts. The aroma of the coffee makes you feel a lot better while studying but there's no harm in trying something new and healthier, and not so bad to taste as well.Green tea!Yes, you got it right, I've had it to stay up during my finals and it works! There are so many green tea flavours out there, I absolutely love the honey and lemon one! I think a cup of green tea on your study table would be just right.
  3. Sticky Notes and More: I personally love stationery, it comes before my love for clothes and accessories.  It's really important to have post its/sticky notes right where you sit with your books. It always comes in handy when you have to make a note of an important principle or a quick formula list, as an alternative to that even loose sheets can be used for the same purpose. And can even be used to doodle around when boredom strikes!
  4. Highlighters: Highlighters are the prettiest saviours when you want to cut down on your chapter content. When used inappropriately we often end up highlighting the entire chapter and realize later that oops this just looks messed up now. However when you just want to scroll through important points on the day of your exam, then it'll help boost your memory. So different lighter coloured highlighters are always preferred for differentiating purposes.
  5. Other Additions: Yeah I'll probably be the first one to say this, but always have your phone with your books, probably on silent as that'll help you concentrate better, but having a phone is necessary as if there are any study related questions, Mr Google has the solutions to all! It's better than disturbing your friends, as Y'all will end up having continuous never-ending conversations. Also, having a small table clock is helpful to help you start your work on time.
  6. Study Material: Yeah after taking care of all the above-mentioned things, don't forget to study, it's ludicrous to mention this, but writing from experience Y'all!

Lastly, always choose a peaceful workspace, otherwise keep your earphones handy, since many times, listening to soft music can also help in cutting down the background noise and will help you study and concentrate better.

Live it, love it, don't loathe it...Life.
